Hiking and Mountain Biking

By far, these are the most popular summer activities in the Eagle Valley. From a path along the Eagle River to summits of 12-14,000 feet, there are trails for all ages and levels of ability. Mountain bikers will find a variety of trails on Beaver Creek and Vail Mountains accessible by lifts. Always check the local weather forecasts and be properly prepared, because weather can change quickly in the mountains. Golf

There are few places in the world where the game of golf can be played in such astounding natural beauty. Best yet, golfing at altitude means you're a drive away from one of the longest drives you'll ever hit. Public courses can be found in Vail, Eagle-Vail, Avon and Eagle.

White Water Rafting and Stand Up Paddle Boarding - This is a prime, central location for white-water rafting trips. From family-friendly float trips on the Upper Colorado River to rip-roaring whitewater rapids in Brown's Canyon, guided tours are available on a variety of rivers including the Colorado River, Arkansas River and Eagle River. Or, try your hand at new craze of stand up paddle boarding. Guides will effectively teach stand up paddling techniques and river dynamics, as each paddler actively controls his or her board down river.

Jeep and ATV Tours

Numerous back country tours are available on designated trail systems throughout our area. Learn local history, view scenic wildflowers, mountain ranges and sunsets with several options to choose from. For the adventurous, rent your own ATV and explore alpine meadows, rushing brooks and spot wildlife. For recommendations, please contact our staff.

Spas - Yes, you can have days filled with adventure and pure, relaxation too! Beaver Creek, Avon and Vail boast some of the best spas in the nation. Reservations are recommended so inquire when making your reservation.

Free Activities

Movies: Nottingham Park, adjacent to the resort hosts Movies Under The Stars on select Thursday nights. The park also holds a grand Salute to The 4th with a fantastic fireworks display, July 3rd. Culinary Demonstrations: on the Beaver Creek Plaza, weekends, June through September. Gather at the Ford Amphitheater in Vail on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer months to enjoy sunshine, a picnic and free music. Hike the Berry Picker Trail onVail Mountain to Adventure Ridge: and find a slackline park, bocce ball, horseshoes and a bean bag toss. Ride the gondola back down for free. Vail Skate Park: Head to the Lionshead parking structure and check out the free skate park open dawn to dusk daily. Farmers markets are held on Sundays in Vail, complimented with a free jazz concert and in Saturdays in Minturn along with an arts and crafts market.
