Connie and Andy would like to welcome you to The Gashouse.
The Gashouse was one of the first buildings in Edwards and was originally built as a Conoco filling station in the 1940’s. After the filling station closed in the late sixties the building sat empty until 1982, when Connie had the creative vision to turn it into a log cabin diner. The renovation was complete in February 1983 and The Gashouse opened its doors for hungry bellies and thirsty bodies.
Over the course of the past 28 years The Gashouse has doubled in size; adding a second dining room and a state of the art kitchen which helped develop one the biggest menus available in the valley.
Connie and Andy would like to thank you for visiting our restaurant. They hope that our family friendly atmosphere and classic Colorado Ski Town charm will bring you back again and again over the years to come.

irst laid out in 1961, the Lake County Airport in Leadville, Colorado is North America's highest public use airport. This distinction is very important due to the fact that the performance of an aircraft (namely its ability to take off and climb) deteriorates with an increase in altitude. In fact, many aircraft are operating above their manufacturer's recommended specifications when flying into and out of Leadville.
It is also this distinction that brings manufacturers and flight training programs from around the world to Leadville. Many companies use the airport as a base for high altitude performance testing, and many student pilots enjoy learning to fly safely in conditions that are likely to be more challenging than what they will face elsewhere in their flying careers. Lake County Airport also provides support to the United States Military for high altitude training and search and rescue operations.
